Bovis forecasts improving housing market as sales rise

Housebuilder Bovis Homes today said it had seen further signs of an improving market and expects more price stability in 2010.

Kent-based Bovis said total home sales in the year to November 13 rose to 2,178, from 2,023 homes in 2008.

Private home reservations were up 83 per cent on the year earlier, to 1488.

'Following signs of stabilisation in the housing market in the first half of 2009, the group has seen further signs of an improving market backdrop,' Bovis said.
