Sellers advised on making gardens appear bigger

Home sellers have been offered some advice on how to make their gardens appear larger.

Gardening Which? said that there are a number of tricks which can be used to make a garden appear bigger than it actually is.

One such tip is to include mirrors in the outdoor space, creating the impression that there is more space.

"Use tricks to deceive the eye like mirrors to give the impression of more space," said Ceri Thomas, editor of Gardening Which?

"Break up views with things like trellis or planting and buy plants that will thrive in the conditions you have to offer as there is nothing worse than looking at a sickly plant," she continued.

An impressive garden can go a long way to helping a potential buyer make up their mind about whether or not to purchase a property.

Many home sellers would do well to follow the advice from Gardening Which? as it may help them to secure the sale.
