Jaguar commits to Wolverhampton

Jaguar Land Rover has confirmed it will develop a £350m engine plant on the i54 business park in Wolverhampton, as tipped by Property Week.

The business park is part of a 120-hectare site in Darlaston and Wolverhampton North, in the Black Country.

The company, owned by Indian firm Tata, had considered locations in south Wales and India for the plant.

The decision concludes several months of negotiations with ministers and it is understood the manufacturer will receive some financial support from the government.
