Debenhams to move headquarters to British Land's NEQ

Published 20th Sep 2011

Debenhams is to move its headquarters to north west London in the summer of 2013 to move into British Land’s mixed use development at Regent’s Place.

The developer this morning announced it had agreed terms to pre-let 145,000 sq ft of office space to the department store group.

The retailer will occupy the ground to fourth floors of the development at 10 Brock Street for a term of 25 years without break.

The office building is being developed as part of British Land’s 500,000 sq ft development at the North East Quadrant (NEQ).

Construction work started on site in October 2010 and completion is due in the summer 2013.

Tim Roberts, head of offices at British Land, said: “The letting secures long-term income on the lower floors underpinning investment value, leaving the opportunity to attract premium rents on the higher floors closer to the building’s completion date.”
