Home information packs (Hips) will have been a part of the home-selling process for one month this weekend.
The packs were introduced for properties with four or more bedrooms from August 1st and a full-scale rollout is planned for the future.
It has already been revealed that Hips will become mandatory when selling a home with three or more bedrooms from September 10th although criticism still exists.
However, looking back over the introduction of Hips, Dominic Toller, director of marketing and new business at hip provider LMS, says the rollout has been largely successful.
"The introduction of Hips for four bedroom properties has been a success story so far. We're very pleased with these first weeks," he said.
"The scaremongering stories of Hips costing between £2,000 and £3,000 are completely unfounded.
"Currently timescales are longer than our anticipated five days for Hip instructions to completion. This is because vendors appear to be in no hurry to pay for their Hip or provide access for the Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) to carry out the Energy Performance Certificate (EPC)," he added.
Mr Toller went on to call for a full Hips rollout before the end of the year.
